Field Notes

Description:

Family: Noctuidae, Subfamily: Noctuinae. Tribes: Apameini and Arzamini) Borer Moth. Total length: 18 mm. Golden FW has violet brown bands in AM and ST areas. Basal area and all spots are golden with dark outlines. Hosts: Low plants including aster, burdock, corn and iris to name a few. Came to porch light.

Habitat:

Meadows, fields, yards. Comes to light.
