Field Notes

Description:

Pale ivory bill with distinct black longitudinal stripe on upper mandible. Black spot in centre of yellow and orange upper breast, horizontal black stripe on lower breast. Black back with scarlet rump. Long rectangular brown tail.

Habitat:

Canopy and borders of humid forest and regenerating woodlands.Western slope of Andes in Ecuador, mostly below 1.100m
