Description:

A common plant on beaches here. The flowers are usually white, but can be tinged with pink or purple such as shown here. The leaves, shown in photo two, have reddish or pinkish edges. The leaves are used as a parsley substitute and a commonly used wild herb by native peoples and locals in Alaska.

Habitat:

On the rocks above the high tide line at the beach
