Yellow-rumped Thornbill
Acanthiza chrysorrhoa
-38.4634, 145.183
Field Notes
Description:
It has a striking yellow rump. It is mainly grey-olive to grey-brown above to cream below, with a white-spotted black crown and a dark eye stripe. The tail is black, with white tips.
Notes:
This bird has the dark eye stripe of the Yellow-rumped Thornbill, but in this photo looks like it has a very yellow underbelly like that of the Yellow Thornbill. I'm leaning towards the Yellow-rumped though. Any thoughts?
