Hebe tiene cuatro filas perpendiculares de hojas en pares opuestos. Las flores son perfectas, la corola tiene cuatro lóbulos levemente desiguales, la flor tiene dos estambres y un estilo largo. Las flores se distribuyen en una inflorescencia en espiga.
