Field Notes

Description:

Right before they began building their nest for the first year behind my home I noticed the hawks scouting out the area.

Notes:

I unfortunately was unable to capture the shot, but not long after this picture was taken the hawk caught a big black snake and tried to carry it over the fence but couldn't because it was so heavy - so he or she started eating it right there in my yard!
