Yes... These were growing wild. I don't know much about plants, but agree these look like Arctic Lupine. Thank you so much for your help!
There are several lupines that could be in the Ketchikan area, according to my reference book. Take a look at Arctic Lupine and see what you think. Here is a link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupinus_arcticus There is a possibility of Nootka or Large-leaved being in that area too but I think your photos best match Arctic Lupine. These were growing wild, right? not in a garden?
