Description:

Grey-green nymph of Egyptian grasshoppers, about 4-5cm long and easily recognized by those stripped eyes, showing typical juvenile wings.

Habitat:

Observed on Lokrum, a small island near Dubrovnik, some 600m from the Old Town port. The island is made of thick layers of sedimentary rock – limestone and dolomite, and is covered by lush Mediterranean forest, predominantly pine.
