Sorry I cannot tell, without a photo of the spider from the other side. Size, looks of the stabilitum (silk in the center of the web) and the legs remind me of a black and yellow garden spider. They are fascination spiders that you may want to learn about: http://bugguide.net/node/view/2025
Total length including legs was close to 2 inches
Unfortunately I could not get around to see the other side
Do you happen to have any images of the dorsal (top) side of the spider?
