Description:

-- Adult Eastern Grey Squirrels are 9 - 12 inches in length; they weigh 1 - 1.5 lbs. They are covered with gray hairs that are white at the tips. The back and neck are a darker gray with a white or lighter gray along the belly; the tail is long, flat and bushy.

Habitat:

-- Specific Habitat: I observed this squirrel in a residential backyard beneath a pin oak tree.
-- General Habitat: The Eastern Grey Squirrel is common to forests, parks and suburban yards.
