Description:

I must admit I thought it is a Lotus flower, but research indicates this is a Waterlilly, and more precisely the Indian Red Waterlilly.
If anyone has a better idea, please tell me :) (I'm a novice on flora)
Anyway, the floating plants with the large leaves carry these flowers, they close in the evening and open in the morning, if there is sunlight. On a overcast day they do not open. This one I found in a pond between rice fields, many flowers resurrected after the rain season.
