Description:

Plume with tiny flowers, waving back and forth in the wind at the edge of scrubby woods.

Species ID Suggestions

Dog Fennel possibly (2 spp.) (been blooming heavily on AL coast for weeks)

Eupatorium capillifolium , Eupatorium compositifolium (often=yankeeweed)

Nice catch, Caysee, thanks ... the "fennel" part of the name makes sense, in retrospect, now that I look at the bottoms of the stems. Probably capillifolium, but great to have the ID roughed out. Thanks again.
