Field Notes

Description:

From the freshly cut end of a eucalyptus log these ripply topped plate fungi were each up to about 120mm across. They had a radial zones and a white outer margin. A deeply pored fertile surface which spreads down the substrate.

Habitat:

Within a nature reserve incorporating stringybark, acacias, pomaderris, pittosporum, assorted woody shrubs and grasses.
