Field Notes

Description:

Small hairy caterpillar. Body black with yellow markings. Pale dorsal stripe. Long pale hairs on sides of body and tufts of lashes right behind head and after black lashes on the back. Two tufts of black lashes on the hind end.

Habitat:

Campground within a temperate forest area. Blydenburgh County Park, NY.
