Field Notes

Description:

6cm wide leafy moth with grey brown and brown pattern on the fore wings and red brown on the rear. Underside is pinkish

Habitat:

light bollard beside apartment gardens at night. In an area of suburbia surrounded by exotics and remnant coastal dry forest as well as swamp

Notes:

#leafy leaf moth, a lot of the moths online look similar but still looking
I am claiming this is one of the Hawk Moths although it is only known far north of here. Changed to Sphinx moth and with the genus only
