Description:
The other well-known female mimic of the Common Mormon: this forma cyrus mimics the male of the Common Rose. Differences are that her forewings and tails are more elongated, for me the ID point is that Mormon has spaces 3 and 4 a bit yellow, Rose males don't have that.
BTW the whole mimic is an attempt to look like an inedible species. P. polytes is edible and the females try to look like the inedible Common Rose, they even mimic the slow wingbeat of Common Rose.
