Thank you so much Lisa for giving me the identification of this flower. It's been driving me crazy.
I'll check into it further Lisa. At least this is a lead and if it takes me to an identification, I am forever grateful to you!
Lisianthus is the name I know this one by. I am not so sure about it being called a bluebell of any kind...that may be a regional misnomer or a screwy wikipedia thing. I do believe the scientific name is correct though.
Thank you LIsa. The Texas Bluebell doesn't quite fit this flower. I did wonder if this is a Gentian of some kind, but they all have the same shape, same darker throats with yellow stamen/pestal (I'm not up on flower parts) no matter the petal color. It's driving me crazy looking for an ID.
Can anyone tell me what this is? I've done numerous searches and postings trying to find an ID. They are abundant in the areas they grow.
