Description:
-- General Description: The northern mockingbird is a medium-sized (8-11 inches) songbird. Mockingbirds have small heads, a long, thin bill with a hint of a downward curve, and long legs. *Both males and females look alike.
Habitat:
-- Specific Habitat: I observed this northern mockingbird perched on a residential deck in north Alabama. -- General Habitat: Northern Mockingbirds are found in towns, suburbs, backyards, parks, forest edges, and open land at low elevations.
