Looks at first sight indeed not bad. If you look at the hindwing, there should actually be a much broader whitish band for being Boeticus and here are on the hindwing 2 darker spots too much. What do you think? It is still difficult to see all the important making.
Could this be a Peablue (Lampides boeticus)? http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo232577.htm
Hi bayucca, just added another pic! See if it helps, thanks a lot. Hi Daniele Pralong, thanks for the link. I'll check it out! I was wondering if it was a skipper, it had almost a one inch wingspan.
Hi disha! Welcome to Project Noah! Do you have any other picture of this one? This would help a lot for the ID.
Hi disha2192! Your butterfly is in the family Lycaenidae: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycaenidae I hope someone else can help you further. You can also familiarize yourself with Indian butterflies in this family on this page: http://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/#!/tx/10-Lycaenidae-dp1
Thank you Luis Stevens! Can somebody ID this please?
Beautiful shot disha2192! Welcome to Project Noah.
