Description:

small wasp ~1 cm long, partial bands on abdomen

Habitat:

feeding on goldenrod flowers in meadow, curls up body characteristically as it puts its head into a blossom, much less pollen on body compared to some other wasps

Could also be <i>Ectemnius</i>, but texture of the thorax and head seems too rough.
