Field Notes

Description:

When we were shelling peas we found two green caterpillars. My younger son wanted to keep them in his bug house for the night with a few pea shells. By the next morning they had "sewn" their pea shells closed. Then about a month later I noticed something fluttering around in the bug house. One was alive and well and refused to stand still for a photo before we released him. This one was already dead.
