Description:

Rich brown apothecia; indistinct cups, not sorediate; few ascending squamules on podetia; podetia 1-6 cm tall; podetia grey/green.

Habitat:

cool north facing talus field. Rock type Granitic. 4500-5000 feet

Cladonia cariosa

Yeah that is what i thought, but I think the podetia isn't sorediate as C. cariosa appears. hmmm
