Description:

Broad lobes of Umbilicaria rigida grow outward from a central area of attachment (umbilicus) on exposed alpine rock. The rough upper surface is black to brownish-black with white-ridged wrinkles.

Habitat:

Exposed alpine rocks.

Notes:
