Field Notes

Habitat:

Oak woodland

Notes:

I see this kingbird all the time. The first time I saw it was near Thompson Creek Trail in Oak Woodland. I have also seen these harass hawks and ravens. They can be told from the similar Western Kingbird by its darker gray upperparts and its contrasting throat patch. It’s call is an excited chatter.
