Description:

Gelatinous fungus, quite small, 4-5 cm in circumference growing at the base of a dead fir tree.

Habitat:

Coniferous forest in the Carpathian Mountains.

Notes:

His looks like a Hericium sp.

Species ID Suggestions

The correct name is actually Pseudohydnum gelatinosum.
Yep, I think this is it. Also changed the mane of the spotting. Thanks again for the suggestion.
