Description:

Rosinweed has 8 to 13 yellow ray flowers. The ray flowers develop the seeds while the disk flowers are sterile. The leaves have very shallow teeth or may be entire. It grows to about 6 feet tall and has leaves all the way to the inflorescence. It is hard to tell from the picture, but this may be var. trifoliatum which has mostly whorls of 3 leaves. If so, this is sometimes listed as a separate species (S. trifoliatum.)

Found in:
AL, DC, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, NC, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA, WV
