Field Notes

Description:

Beautiful longhorn of about 22mm from head to the tip of the abdomen. Striking bright yellow colouration with brown spots and blue/grey legs and antennae. Some specimens have extremely elongated legs, giving them a spider-like appearance. It is the only species in the Gerania genus.

Habitat:

Found among tropical coastal vegetation on Koh Sriboya island.

Notes:

This species ranges from India through to Indonesia.
