Description:

A couple of Purple Swamphens, now re-classified as Grey-headed Swamphens. Spotted in Bundala National Park, Sri Lanka.

Apparently the male has an elaborate courtship display, holding water weeds in his bill and bowing to the female with loud chuckles.
