Field Notes

Description:

The adult is about 2cm and the nymph about 4~6mm.

Habitat:

Plants and trees that have tender twigs from which they can suck sap. These were in medium-high grasses in a field next to a wooded area.

Notes:

Despite being colorful, this is an invasive species from southern China. It is considered a pest and a threat to fruit trees.
