Moved Slowly. Stuck its bum up in the air when it was started.

Nice pic! You came across a tarantula. I moved it to the invertebrate category and added some reference links so you can learn more. The raising of the abdomen (bum) was most likely a defense mechanism. Sometimes tarantulas kick off hairs from their abdomen to protect themselves from predators.
