Description:

Found on ground. Red tail Hawk in tree above was feasting but flew away with carcass.

Great distance! Amazing and good job tracking them down... sham about the bad news though!
I actually found the owner and let him know his bird would not make it home. He was about 8 miles from where I was
Oh forgot to mention, that red ring is an ID number, if you rang your local pigeon club with that number they could inform the birds owner!
That is the lower portion of leg from a Feral Pigeons (Columba livia). Interesting timing that you should be going past and notice the leg!
