Field Notes

Description:

Trunk usually straight and rarely forked. Hemlock have very small buds/pine cones.

Habitat:

Eastern North America, usually confined to areas with cool and humid climates and high levels of moisture

Notes:

I pass this tree a lot every day: I am picked up and dropped off at GW circle and for the past two years, I have had a very good friend in Stevens and would visit the dorm all the time. This tree has been a sort of staple in my Andover experience, especially since it's coniferous and doesn't change throughout the year.
