Field Notes

Description:

A tall plant with drooping, purplish to pink flower clusters. Season June - August. This plant attracts monarch butterflies. Sadly, I have not seen a monarch this year and I've spotted this plant several places in Maryland and also in Pennsylvania.

Habitat:

Have common milkweed growing in our wildlife garden in the backyard.
