Description:

papaya is a short-lived perennial growing to 30 ft high. Its hollow herbaceous stem is usually unbranched. The papaya flowers are fragrant and have five cream white to yellow-orange petals. The fruit are smooth skinned. They are very widely in size and shape.

Habitat:

In gardens, and in tropical areas near- tropical species and very sensitive to frost and limited to the regions.
