Andricus quercusflocci
41.4537, -81.203
Field Notes
Description:
Fuzzy growth on the underside of the leaf. By early October, many of them had fallen off of the leaves and were lying loose on the ground.
Habitat:
White oak leaves in a mixed second-growth deciduous forest.
Notes:
I worked in this park for four years (2000-2003) and never saw these. This year they were everywhere!
