Field Notes
Description:
Brown with black head, bare patch of yellow skin around eye, white wing patch; Tail is short and dark with white tip. Bill and legs are yellow.
They are omnivorous, searching for fruits, insects, small lizards, carrion, and, scraps.
Breading extends from February to August; Raise one to three broods. Two to five eggs are incubated in their nest for over 13 days and nesting fleddge after 29-35 days.
Habitat:
Mynas ar esocial bird usually seen in groups, their habitat is mainly urban and suburban areas.
Notes:
This bird was introduced from India to hawai'i in 1865 to control insect pest.
