Eastern Butterfly Lizard

Beautiful lizard of the Uromasticidae Family. Their common name is based on the orange flank colour which they use to impress other lizards and predators. They dig burrows in the ground where they live in, they close it with a plug of sand. They possess a very long tail, about twice their snout-to-vent length (15 cm), totaling about 50 cm.
