Description:
Similar to the American Pipit. This bird has a more contrast. Slightly larger then a sparrow. Light brown on top with a light color below with bold dark streaks on chest and sides down to flanks. Light colored mustache and throat. During the breeding season the head and throat has rosy read tint. What difference is that the Red-throated has pinkish yellow legs and the Amercian is darker color.
Habitat:
Spotted in flat open areas like meadows and fields.
Notes:
Spotted one only with a small flock of American Pipits. Also with Savannah Sparrows and W. Meadowlarks.
