Field Notes

Description:

All three insects are about a quarter-inch long, all found within three feet of each other. There are wheelbugs, praying mantis, and stick bugs in the garden. Haven't a clue as to these guys.

Habitat:

Wooded area, specimens found in garden in full sunlight.

Thanks Machi. Yes it's important to have one species only per spotting. The second bug looks like a Stilt bug to me (Berytidae) check them out here http://bugguide.net/node/view/604336/bgpage
Hi Ron, the first photo looks like a katydid nymph and the second photo appears to be an assassin bug. These should be separated into two spottings and maybe someone can help you narrow it down further
