Description:

The Pandorus Sphinx Moth is a large, greenish gray moth with darker patches and pink edges and small pink eyespots. The underside is usually pale yellow-green or brown. It has a wingspan of 3¼–4½ inches (8.2–11.5 cm), females being slightly larger than males.

Habitat:

-- Specific Habitat: This Pandorus Sphinx Moth was spotted on my front porch at night.
-- General Habitat: Host plants are mainly grape vines and Virginia creeper.
-- The adult drinks nectar from various flowers, especially petunias; so it is likely to be seen in gardens and vineyards.

-- They are active spring through fall.
