Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful grey moth with a wing span of 30 mm. The moth had a thin black line on either side near the base of the costa. Two broader lines ran through the mid section of the wing. The submarginal area had brown jagged patterns. Each wing apex showed a dark curved line running up the wing.
Hind wings are the same colour as the fore wings but with fainter lines.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights on a warm night.

Notes:

A very attractive moth. I cannot find much information on it. Pic #4 of a similar moth was taken on 1 Feb - I have posted it here to show the hind wings.
