Field Notes

Description:

Larger wasp. Slender body with an elongated abdomen. Dark brownish/black coloration with yellow front two pair of legs after the "knees" on the hind pair. Yellow banding on the antennae. Short, straight ovipositor.

Habitat:

Temperate forest/campground area. Blydenburgh County Park, NY.
