Field Notes

Description:

Small boletes with violet caps that turn pink and then tan as they age. Flesh and pores are white, but bruise violet.

Habitat:

Growing on the edge of a river in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

This is the first spotting of this species on Project Noah.
