Field Notes

Description:

This Centipede was spotted when it fell from a bundle of leaf litter which was being carried to a mulch pile, during a general clean-up, following recent storms. It shows some similarity to the centipede in my previous spotting
https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1013643210... but it is slimmer and the body is much darker and the legs are lighter. It also did not display the peculiar "cobra-like" posture I observed in the previous specimen.

Habitat:

Spotted in our backyard, during the clearing of fallen branches and leaf litter from recent storms.

Notes:

This centipede was spotted in the same place and time as these previous two spottings -
