Description:

Once brought to the brink of extinction through the overuse of DDT, this pandemic bird, has recovered and in populous parts of its range, you can find nests about every 1/2 mile along rivers and other bodies of water. They are often found in manmade structures: electrical poles, parking lot lights and more.

The female was calling back and forth to her mate while one of the young was stretching and testing its wings.
