Description:

Xanthoneura telesinus (Mabille, 1878) is distributed throughout the Philippines, including Bohol, Leyte, Luzon, Mindanao, Mindoro, Negros, Samar.

It is a skipper butterfly (family Hesperiidae, subfamily Hesperiinae, tribe Erionotini) with orange color, and about 15mm in length.

Habitat:

Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.
