Description:

Red-Clawed Mangrove Crab spotted high on Mt. Misen, on the island of Miyajima, near Hiroshima, Japan.

Habitat:

This crab was living around the cleansing pool outside a Buddhist Temple at an elevation near 1700', quite far from the sea where I would have expected to see it.
