Field Notes

Description:

Typical cicada appearance, approximately 2.5 to 3 cm in body size (without counting wings). Some reddish-brown markings on thorax and abdomen.

Habitat:

Mediterranean region, garrigue like vegetation, urban setting.

Notes:

The photos of this little fella were taken literally minutes before it died, of natural causes. We noticed him/her, flying with difficulties, during our dinner... afterwards, someone noticed him/her on the floor, where it was struggling to move...
