Description:

I believe this is a Social Flycatcher although very similar looking to the White-Ringed Flycatcher. Seen near Sarapiqui, Costa Rica.

A small yellow and brown bird with a black beak and white above and below a dark patch around the eye.

Chris, I see your dilemma. I'm leaning towards the Social Flycatcher. The White-Ringed Flycatcher is slightly leaner and not as stocky.
