Field Notes

Description:

This mushroom is the largest mushroom I've ever spotted. It is about 20 inches long in length with lots of caps. It also looks like a chicken mushroom but this one was growing from the ground near dead tree stumps. Edible.

Habitat:

This large size mushroom was growing on the ground near dead tree stumps in the woods at Kinder Farm Park, Millersville, Maryland.
